✊ Music from movements that changed the world

Under the direction of James Naylor, Waltham Forest Community Choir will share songs connected with:

  • LGBTQ+ rights and the fight for equality

  • The American Civil Rights movement

  • The Suffrage movement

  • Resistance to Apartheid

  • Voices of hope amid the Ukraine war

  • And other stories of courage, solidarity, and change

These are songs that have carried people through dark and uncertain times — songs of protest, resilience and hope that still speak powerfully today.
