Lizzie Knatt and Declan Hickey premiere Oran Johnson's piece, Picture House at St Andrew's on Sunday, as part of an eclectic programme, which takes a similar journey through the repertoire for recorder and guitar, stepping into various musical genres and styles from the baroque and classical periods to the present day, and with influences as far reaching as Aboriginal chant melodies, pop songs and Hungarian folk music.
Lizzie and Declan’s shared interest in both historical performance practice and the exploration of new chamber music brought them together while studying at the Royal Academy of Music, London. As an unconventional duo, their repertoire ranges from the medieval to the present day, encompassing original repertoire, new commissions and arrangements, with a focus on creative programming.
Always on the lookout for new, talented and interesting performers across a wide range of genres, St. Andrew’s Music for All team is delighted to welcome Lizzie and Declan to their monthly Sunday concert series!
This is a free concert with retiring collection
