🎭Free Creative Workshops! 🎨
Come and be part of the magic behind this year’s Leyton Más People’s Parade and Carnival Fête!
We’re running a joyful series of free community workshops across Leyton, where all ages and backgrounds are welcome to get involved in the carnival spirit.
🖌️ What’s happening?
Join us for hands-on, inclusive workshops where recycled and repurposed materials become carnival creations.
You’ll learn how to make vibrant masks, handheld props, and costume pieces inspired by global traditions—drawing on everything from West African Adinkra prints to Asian Saris Silks and South America’s Pachamama
🌿 These workshops celebrate:
• The power of carnival to bring people together
• Sustainable creativity using everyday materials
• The cultural roots of masquerade, folklore, and community celebration
👥 Who can join?
Everyone! Whether you’re an individual, part of a community group, or a family looking for something special to do—no experience needed. Artists will guide you step by step. Schools and local groups can also book tailored sessions.
📅 When & Where?
Workshops take place throughout June and early July in community venues and schools across Leyton, leading up to the big celebration on Sunday 13 July at Coronation Gardens & Square
💥 Be part of the parade or just enjoy the creativity—either way, you’re part of something bigger.
