Eco-Fashion Kids Workshops – Saturday Mornings in Leytonstone
Join us every Saturday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Good Shepherd Studios, Leytonstone for a fun, hands-on journey into the world of eco-friendly fashion!
These weekly workshops are designed for kids who love to create, design, and express themselves. Each session is child-led and creativity-driven, with gentle guidance to help them learn new skills and explore exciting techniques such as:
✨ Hand sewing (and possibly using sewing machines at some point)
🎨 Fabric painting & printing
🧶 Embellishing with cuts, ties, patches, and beads
♻️ Repairing, altering, and upcycling clothes and accessories
Beyond crafting, kids will also learn how their fashion choices can positively impact the planet—inspiring a deeper understanding of sustainability through practical action and creative play.
Great for:
🔸Fashion/craft enthusiasts
🔸Recommended age: +5 (under 7 are welcome with the assistance of their adult through the workshop)
What to bring?
A piece of clothing for the child to reuse or upcycle: an old t-shirt, trousers, jeans, sweatshirt, dad's shirt, mum's old blouse, anything.
[While all material will be provided and extra clothes to transform will be available, the purpose of these workshops is to encourage children to reuse instead of throwing away.]
